Kaoru Dill-Ishibashi has a history playing in groups like Jupiter One and of Montreal, but I believe his BEST incarnation is with his group – Kishi Bashi. It was a joy-filled night complete with interesting characters making cameos on the stage – Icarus with his golden wings, Mr. Steak joining the band on stage for The Ballad Of Mr. Steak, confetti, and the encore performed from the center of the newly renovated beautiful Regency Ballroom. Highlights were songs from his new album Kantos, and a wonderful violin based This Must Be The Place by Talking Heads – a crowd favorite.

London UKs alternative pop band Sweet Loretta warmed up the crowd with their energetic and poignant set.
