This past Saturday, Grammy-nominated artist Kassa Overall brought his iconic sound to the New Parish in Oakland. Before he even stepped on stage, Kassa took the time to interact with fans at the merch booth, showing his kindness and love for his fans. The night began with a performance by Vooo, a local artist based out of Oakland. Vooo brought a beautiful mixture of iconic jazz with new R&B flavor to open the night. Kassa Overall then stepped on stage, highlighting his versatile nature as an artist by mixing his lyrical eloquence in rap with his roots in jazz percussion. During the performance, Kassa took jazz-meets-hip-hop to another level, as embraced by the packed room of fans who moved to every beat. The show highlighted his newest album, “Animals,” which is out now and available in physical formats and streaming.
