That’s a wrap! Niles Rodgers closed down the 4th year of the Mill Valley Music Festival (MVMF) Sunday evening and had everybody up and dancing— Niles is an absolute legend.
With an emphasis on moving and grooving, the weekend was full of incredible performers. From Saturday’s performances by guitar gods Gary Clark Jr. and Vieux Farka Toure to Sunday’s performances by legendary dancehall DJ Sister Nancy, and Monophonics, I am glad I wore my comfortable shoes.
While the event is billed first as a music festival, it is much more. It is also a celebration of families and the Mill Valley community. With of kid-friendly activities, as well as a silent disco, where dancers of all ages could move and groove together, there was something for everyone. There was also an opportunity to shop for mom at the many art and clothing vendors representing Mill Valley at the festival.
And of course, there are all the festival comforts we have come to expect, with great local food vendors, wine, beer, and N/A beverages.
I’ll be smiling for days and I’m already looking forward to next year’s event. See you in 2026, Mill Valley!
