It was cold as heck the day of the show.
I ended up waiting for about an hour outside the Independent in 40 degree weather and while the inside wasn’t incredibly warmer, I can say that the dulcet tones of Foxwarren did much to warm the hearts of me and everyone else in the venue. The undulating blue lights mixed with their mix of indie pop and folk gave the feeling of being in an igloo, comforted from the cold and wind of the outdoors.

Hannah Frances graciously opened the show, just coming off of her own new album, and delivered a typical amazing, yet tragically short set. Hoping she will be able to get a headlining show soon in the Bay Area.
