The Chapel on Valencia Street welcomed Dylan LeBlanc to celebrate ten years since the release of his acclaimed third album Cautionary Tale. Dylan is an alt-country and Americana artist tied to the famed Muscle Shoals, Alabama, recording scene. The performance was intimate and heartfelt. His guitar work is an amazing blend of soul and rock. Performing and playing bass guitar was Dylan’s father James. The audience was psyched to see him perform, and they were not disappointed.
Opening the night was Olivia Wolf, a Northern California native now based in Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee, whose music bridges bluegrass tradition, folk storytelling, and modern Americana. Wolf appeared in a black cowboy hat, cutting a striking figure against the venue’s red tinsel-fringed walls. Her music sounds deeply rooted in Appalachian and bluegrass traditions as well as Southern rock and blues. She is the granddaughter of the late Warren Hellman, the Bay Area financier who founded Golden Gate Park’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival.
