Beats Antique returned to the Bay Area with an exuberant Noise Pop 2026 show on Saturday, February 28, at the UC Theatre. The nearly two hour set featured Miles Jay on myriad stringed instruments, Side Car Tommy (Tommy Cappel) on drums, keys and managing the loops, and Zoe Jakes on drums and dance!
Featuring old favorites as well as new pieces, many got their groove on to the hypnotic, trance inducing tunes. For others, the visual spectacle captivated – the literal back and forth between Jakes and Jay in a musical “showdown,” Miles Jay’s expressive face and full body involvement in his playing found him bopping around the stage, and of course, the dancing. Jakes and her dance troupe provided stunning pieces to accompany the music adding texture and depth.

Starting the evening was a full dance set of The House of Tarot. Veils, feathers, drums, swords all woven together for striking dance storytelling.
