Empire of the Sun brought their “Ask That God” tour to Sacramento’s Channel 24 on May 4, 2025, delivering a visually stunning and sonically immersive performance. Luke Steele commanded the stage with his signature flair, donning elaborate costumes that complemented the show’s theatrical elements. The production featured a giant stone-like head, dazzling light displays and dancers in avant-garde attire, transforming the venue into a surreal, otherworldly experience.

The setlist included fan favorites such as “Walking on a Dream,” “We Are the People,” and “Alive,” each met with enthusiastic responses from the sold-out venue. Steele’s ethereal vocals haunted the venue further captivating the crowd. Tracks like “High and Low” and “DNA” showcased the band’s ability to blend electronic beats with emotive melodies, creating moments of both energy and introspection.
Channel 24, with its state-of-the-art facilities, proved to be the perfect backdrop for Empire of the Sun’s elaborate show.
