Seeing Echo and the Bunnymen made up for the fact that, 20 years ago, I left a festival early because I was young, dumb (and tired). The fact that even after so many years I was able to see them at The Masonic just felt right, and the near sold out crowd really showed how their sound has lasted for so long and kept a pretty solid fanbase, even if their last full album was 12 years ago. Their setlist consisted mostly of songs from the ’80s as a blue and orange haze filled the crowd, which fit the kind of mood set on those early albums such as Crocodiles and Ocean Rain as they finished their set with Bring on the Dancing Horses and The Killing Moon back to back.
