I want to say about half-way through the Ulrika Spacek show and after listening to their entire catalog before, I realized they kinda sorta sound like Radiohead. A kind of unpretentious Radiohead, clean of the baggage and odd experimentation that came with their early 2000’s stuff. A lot of that was the voice, Rhys Edwards has the timbre of a current Thom Yorke, but the arrangements have a kind of off kilter, unbalanced vibe that make me tilt my head every few minutes like a confused dog. The vibe at the Rickshaw Stop is darker than you would expect from a show lit by a projector and lights surrounding the stage, but it was arranged so everyone was a little shaded, reminding me of shadow puppets.

Opening were both Badvril and Cindy, who both blended a mixture of indie pop and shoegaze for a hazy start to the whole night.
