Truman Sinclair was the headliner at Cafe Du Nord Thursday night. Sinclair is an American singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles who spent his childhood in the quiet suburb of Evanston before moving to LA at age 14. A recent USC grad, he honed his craft over years of playing solo and in bands, most recently with Frat Mouse and Fat, Evil Children, before releasing his self-produced debut solo album American Recordings.
Thursday’s performance was Truman’s second visit to SF and the Cafe Du Nord. Sinclair played to a full house and gave a very energetic performance. His brand of indie folk music is authentic and very much his own. I left the show wanting to see more of Truman and hope he comes back to the Bay Area soon.
Trinity Ace is an emerging indie pop musician from San Francisco. Trinity Ace was the first performer of the night. Her songs have a chill alt-country, indie vibe. Trinity’s voice sits in a mellow, low register that is unhurried, intimate, and deeply felt. It drifts and floats throughout the room, the way smoke lingers in a quiet bar. The setlist leaned into that low-key atmosphere throughout her performance. They built slowly, settled in, and lingered long after the last chord.
Jordan Giordano is an indie rock musician known for producing, writing, and releasing original music under his name and as Jordan Giordano Cattonar. Based in Los Angeles, he is active on platforms like Spotify, SoundCloud, and Bandcamp, with 2025 releases including the EP next year and singles such as “feel the bite”.
