Ella Moore (AKA Cleo Reed) performed two dynamic shows last night in the intimate Joe Henderson lab at SFJAZZ as part of the 31st annual Noise Pop Festival.
Drawing on her 2025 album release “Cuntry” and experimenting with new material, the audience soaked in her thoughtful & expressive lyrics that expresses many of the salient issues that our country is dealing with today. At one point, an audience member cheered “love ya!” which was mis-heard as “fuck yeah!” – but both of those sentiments applied perfectly.
