Three fun bands played Friday night at The Rickshaw Stop. The headliner for the night was Beach Weather. Beach Weather is an indie-pop/rock outfit from Massachusetts originally formed in 2015 and reactivated in 2022. Their sound leans nostalgic retro guitars and rhythms with strong ’70s/’80s influences, but still carries modern polish and hooks. They are currently promoting their sophmore album ‘Melt’. The band was very relaxed on stage. They connect with the audience with authenticity and groove, creating a musical joyride atmosphere. Band frontman Nick Santino stated that it was the longest playset they had performed thus far.

This is my second time seeing Windser perform live and his performance was as good as the first. What stood out throughout was how Windser balanced the shimmering melodies and hooks of his songs with an underlying emotional depth, many rooted in very personal stories from his childhood.

Telescreens is an American rock band formed in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, in 2007. Telescreens delivered quite a show. Their peformance bursted with energy from start to finish. The charismatic frontman of Telescreens was always engaging the crowd, commanding their attention, and requesting their participation in the show, and it worked. The audience really got into participating by singing along and creating a small mosh pit. Telescreens gave a very emotional performance and left everything on the stage.
