My time to see BUSH finally came at Golden 1 Center when they played before Shinedown and with Morgan Wade as the opener and was really glad to hear her “Wilder Days”.
I’d say 99.9% of the bands I see love what they do and will do it until they no longer can. Then there is BUSH. They love what they do and there is no doubt about that. But they love being with the people. In this case with Gavin Rossdale, he went into the crowd twice. You don’t do that because you have to. Because we all know you don’t. He did it because he loves it and communing with the people. The looks on people’s faces showed they love it a LOT. I get it, I really get it. I honestly hope these ladies in the images find them and talk about this moment in their 80s and beyond.
The setlist was a bit shorter than if their own show. But they did the absolutely mandatory songs we all expected and are thankful for, of course. The songs were: Scars, Machinehead, Everything Zen, I Beat Loneliness, More Than Machines, Land of Milk and Honey, 60 Ways to Forget People, Swallowed, Flowers on a Grave, Glycerine and Comedown.
The stage was vast and went deep into the crowd and Rossdale worked every single inch of it. I had an inkling on the third song he would head to the end and prepared while I was hoping I was right and not miss something else. But it wasn’t long after he came my way and did what I had hoped and then some.
I finished their set sitting in the stands to take it in as a guest and a fan from their very start. The energy never waned and every guy on stage giving everything they had.
