A few days before Carnaval, Bateria Batuki took the stage at the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival to kick off the festivities early. A vibrant fusion of music, movement, and cultural expression powered by the rhythm of batuque—traditional Brazilian percussion—filled the air as the sounds of Carnaval reverberated throughout Yerba Buena Gardens and beyond. The energy soared when 2025 Carnaval Queen Zoel Esperanza joined the celebration, getting the crowd on their feet and dancing.
Catch Bateria Batuki and special guests at the SF Carnaval Festival on the 18th and Harrison stage, Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 2–6 PM. And don’t miss them in the Grand Parade on Sunday, May 25, 2025, starting at 9:30 AM.
